Product Photography in Rugby – Industrial Product Photography for Kuntze Instruments

On-Location Industrial Product Photography at Kuntze’s Rugby Facility

I recently worked with Kuntze Instruments at their Rugby office, delivering industrial product photography for a new printed brochure and supporting marketing materials.

Kuntze manufactures precision water analysis sensors and technical measurement equipment used in industrial and municipal applications. The aim of the shoot was straightforward: produce clear, consistent, high-resolution product images that accurately reflect the quality and engineering precision of their sensor range.

As a product photographer based near Rugby, I brought a fully portable studio setup directly into their warehouse facility. This allowed us to complete the shoot on-site without disrupting day-to-day operations.

Creating a Studio Setup Inside a Working Warehouse

Industrial product photography often requires the lighting control of a studio — even when working within an operational warehouse.

For this project, I created a compact, self-contained studio space inside Kuntze’s Rugby premises, including:

  • Professional studio lighting for accurate colour reproduction

  • Neutral white backgrounds suitable for brochure layouts

  • Tethered shooting for instant on-screen review

  • A practical footprint that worked alongside warehouse activity

This on-location product photography approach combines technical control with operational efficiency — ideal for manufacturers, engineering firms, and distributors who need high-quality imagery without shipping stock off-site.

Adhoc & Batch Product Photography of Sensors and Stock

Flexibility was an important part of the brief.

Throughout the project different sensor models and stock items were brought to my studio in Warwick. This enabled both structured product shots and adhoc inventory photography to be carried out as they became available.

Working this way ensured:

  • Consistent lighting across multiple product types

  • Efficient batch product photography

  • A unified visual style for brochure design

For industrial clients,  having the flexibility to visit warehouses to create photography and also to be able to offer a studio location for stock to be sent to for product photography offers maximum flexibility to help get the project completed on time.

Technical Considerations When Photographing Industrial Sensors

Photographing precision-engineered products requires attention to detail.

Key priorities during the shoot included:

  • Accurate colour balance to reflect real-world finishes

  • Controlled highlights on metallic components

  • Clear visibility of branding, serial numbers, and markings

  • Sharp detail suitable for high-resolution brochure printing

The objective was not simply attractive imagery, but dependable visuals that communicate quality and support technical marketing materials.

Final Deliverables for Brochure Production

The completed image set included:

  • High-resolution, print-ready product photographs

  • Clean white-background images suitable for layout design

  • Multiple angles of key sensor models

  • A consistent visual style across the full product range

These images are now being used to support Kuntze’s updated brochure and wider marketing collateral.
